Year 7 and 8 Rugby Competition was AMAZING!

Our Year 8 team beat everyone in their group and went through to play Ryde Academy in the final and narrowly lost 3-2. They showed immense effort and character to come back but narrowly missed out. Zak Leverett in his first ever game created a try for Ben Sanderson in some amazing play in the final.

Our Year 7 team (playing a year up) were equally fantastic, they beat Carisbrooke College and the free school in the group stages to progress to the 3rd and 4th place play off.

They narrowly missed out losing 2-1 after Zeph Wells ripped the ball off a Sandown player and scored the first try.
The size difference was massive- however good pace and trickery as well as some fantastic skills shown by our Year 7’s meant for an exciting few games.

Squads: Year 8: Ben Sanderson, Alex Cole, Jack Davis, Nick Early, Chester Smith, Charlie Dyer, Zak Leveret, Jake Puckett, Jake Bushnell, Jack Turner,
Year 7:
Zeph Wells, Callum Buckley, Adam Biss, Rufus Wood, Ryan Hughes, Fraser Law, Joshua Herman, Joe Coghlan, Joe Nelson
All students were excellent- a true pleasure to take!
