Learning Resource Centre
The Library and Learning Resource Centre is at the heart of the College and aims to provide our students with an outstanding area for learning that is friendly, stimulating and well resourced. We furnish the students with the skills they need to become independent researchers and we offer the College a tranquil area that promotes the love of books and reading. Our Librarian is on hand to offer guidance with book choice and to teach study skills at all levels. The library is home to our Homework Club, and is also available 4 nights a week until 5,00 pm for the use of our older students, who may wish to further their studies after the end of the college day. It has two well-resourced areas, with over 13,500 books, both fiction and non-fiction. We also have a data base of approximately 900 web links to sites deemed safe and appropriate for our students.
The entire college community can gain access to the Library catalogue to check what books have been borrowed and what may still be owed. You can also search for and reserve library stock, as well as viewing new books, ‘top ten reads’ and the students’ own reviews. This can all be accessed via the link below or the link on our “Links page” on this website. Enquiries from and liaison with parents are actively encouraged.
